Northern-Norway has available fiber capacity with several redundant fiber routes to Continental-Europe, both through Norway and with additional routes through Sweden and Finland.

There exist several initiatives to strengthen the fiber connection from Norway and Northern-Norway in particular.

  • The Arctic Connect is a fiber initiative from Northern Norway through the Arctic Sea to Japan, China and Alaska, and will offer the lowest latency sea route between Europe and Northern Asia.
  • The Celtic Norse is a fiber initiative to link Ireland to Mid-Norway (Trondheim) and will as such provide lower latencies from Northern Norway to Ireland.
  • A new fiber from the UK to the West Coast of Norway is estimated to be operational during 2021.
  • The Havfrue fiber became operational in 2020 and connects Southern Norway to Ireland, the US and Denmark.

Our sites have access to several operators and there is available dark fibre. All fiber providers are willing to negotiated directly with new customers and are able to deliver internationally competitive prices.
